Inspired by an inside joke that spurred numerous depictions of the gain wizard Chris Benson himself, the Idol Preamp stands as a testament to the beardy bliss of Benson tone. As for the Preamp itself, under the Benson-branded hood your tone is treated to the same flexible circuit that has become a mainstay on so many boards. A pedal format tonal enhancer designed as a floor-mounted formulation of Benson's Chimera 30 watt amplifier, the Idol Preamp swaps in FET transistors for tubes, creating amplifier-esque tone shaping that morphs musically between boost, drive, and all-out fuzz. If you're looking for a one stop tone shop to finally face the music, invite the face of Chris Benson himself into your rig with the Idol Preamp from Benson Amps.

FEATURES:

Boost and drive pedal

Limited edition enclosure design featuring the many faces of Chris Benson

Based around Benson Amps' Chimera 30 watt guitar amplifier

Performs off vacuum tubes instead of the original FET transistors

Drive control can push from boosts all the way into fuzz territory

Bass and treble EQ to shape tone

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0606/3449/7197/files/BensonAmps_Idol_Preamp_N13-09816_01.jpg?v=1755538832
